A practical long-life advantage over basic sealed pH pens

I bought this for my tropical aquarium after getting fed up with strips. The readings settle quickly, and having both pH and temperature on one unit makes weekly checks much easier.
Arrived quickly from the UK and felt far better made than the cheap pens I have used before. The waterproof body is reassuring when testing hydroponic nutrient solution around the reservoir.
For light laboratory and water sampling work, this is a very capable handheld meter. The automatic temperature compensation is a useful feature and the replaceable electrode gives it better long-term value.
A solid pH-200 pH meter for pool and pond checks, and definitely easier to trust than colour strips. The only downside is that you do need to stay on top of calibration if you want the best accuracy.
I was comparing this with Apera and some generic pens, and this felt like the right middle ground. It gives me the confidence of a branded meter without paying top-end money.
Using it as a water testing pH meter for our small treatment setup and it has been reliable so far. I would have liked calibration solutions included in the box, but the meter itself performs very well.
